Jeremy Lewis, Executive Director, first learned of Urban Recipe on a visit to a co-op meeting in 2002 while in graduate school. One of his favorite parts of this role is seeing families achieve food security and watching as people connect and share a bit of their story with each other. He loves the process of helping build relationships in communities around the gifts and talents that exist in them and finds that food is a natural way to connect with others and to build bridges that might otherwise be difficult to create. On the weekend, overalls are a regular part of his attire and he loves baking cakes and coaching basketball. Although he has coached for many years, he is most recently head of his daughter’s team, The Bunnies. Jeremy studied finance at the University of Georgia, received a Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University and attended the University of Missouri’s Community Development Academy.
